In a strange development, the Censor Board has objected to the use of word ‘condom’ in a lovemaking scene in Hello .

While everyday we are bombarded with ‘safe sex’ campaign ads on radio and TV that underscore the importance of using a condom, the esteemed Censor Board finds the usage of the word ‘condom’ offensive, and that too before a lovemaking scene.

Yes, that’s what happened to a dialogue before an intimate scene between Gul Panag and Sharman Joshi in ‘Hello’.

In the scene Gul and Sharman get intimate and she asks Sharman to use a condom before sex. The two play well educated individuals working in a call centre.

However, the dialogue about condom did not go well with certain people at the Censor Board and the sentence had to be deleted in the final print. Funnily, the lovemaking scene has been retained.

This has left Gul angry over the double standards of Censor Board. She finds it strange that something that’s been talked about frequently on TV can’t be spoken about on the big screen.

‘Hello’ is based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel ‘One Night @ the Call Centre’. The film stars Sohail Khan , Amrita Arora , Isha Koppikar apart from Gul and Sharman. Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif have guest appearances.
