Salman Khan: To be or not to be?

We wonder if there is another controversy brewing here… as it often happens with Salman Khan - remember London Dreams and its casting troubles? It is not clear whether he is doing the upcoming film, Jis Lahore Nahin Dekhya Woh Jamiya Nahin or not.

Says Salman’s spokesperson, “Salman has not signed the film. They (the producers and director Rajkumar Santoshi) did want to speak to him, but nothing is fixed yet because Salman is not in the country currently. He is in London.” Not dreaming, we hope.

When contacted, the director of Jis Lahore Nahin Dekhya Woh Jamiya Nahin, Rajkumar Santoshi said, “Yes, it is true that we have to speak to Salman. But he is out of town at present. Ramesh Taurani and I will speak to him about the film when he returns by the end of the month. There are many factors that need to be considered. Things will be finalised only once Salman is back.”

Well, considering that Jis Lahore Nahin Dekhya Woh Jamiya Nahin is an adaptation of Asghar Wajahat’s play by the same title, we sure are looking forward to it.
