No ‘Hello’ from Salman-Katrina

Atul Agnihotri’s Hello released to a lukewarm response, but the film’s stars were in a cheery mood at its red carpet premiere. Atul, wife Alvira and author Chetan Bhagat stuck together through the event, while the cast and crew poured in. Gul Panag, Sharman Joshi, Amrita Arora, Sohail and Arbaaz Khan along with Malaika and Arpita Khan, and Kunal Kapoor completed the celeb quotient. Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif — who play pivotal roles — did a repeat disappearing act. The two were missing from the premiere, as they were from its music launch.
Expectedly, brothers Sohail and Arbaaz and others from the cast gave their own explanations. Salman is apparently still shooting for Vipul Shah’s London Dreams, while Kats is in New York. “Of course we miss him. He couldn’t be here but has asked me to call and tell him what the reaction has been like,” Sohail was heard saying. What kept the interest alive, despite Sallu’s absence, was the surprise entry by a prominent member of the Shah Rukh camp. Heads turned as a leaner-looking Farah Khan walked in with husband Shirish Kunder. Farah’s comment put doubts of an end to the cold war to rest though. “I’m here for my friends, Sohail, Alvira and Arbaaz,” she said brusquely.
