Testing time in Salman's career

There was a time not many years ago Salman Khan used deliver blockbusters in Bollywood but over the last year and a half he has struggled in his own den. Sallu's last hit Partner came more than a year ago after which he has starred in a string of flops including Marigold, Saawariya and God Tussi Great Ho. His last release Hello is doing average business but is nothing to write home about.

There were even rumours that the movie Amar Akbar Anthony starring Sallu, Sohail and Arbaaz was shelved as the filmmakers did not believe in the potential of Khandan anymore. His spat with Shahrukh Khan has also left him less popular in the tinsel town. Perhaps in one of the most crucial phases of his career Salman will look up to Heroes and Yuvvraaj to revive his career.

Heroes is a multi starer where Salman will be seen playing a playing a Sardar for the first time in his career. The promos of the movie which has borrowed a lot from The Motorcycle Diaries directed Walter Salles seems to be impressive. Salman might also take heart from the fact that he will be starring opposite Preity Zinta with whom he has done well in the box office be it Chori Chori Chupke Chupke and Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega.

Second in line with be Subhash Ghai's Yuvvraaj starring him and his ladylove Katrina Kaif along with Anil Kapoor. Although the promos haven't been been very impressive critics are predicting Katrina's dream run at the box office may bail this movie out of trouble. Added to its Anil Kapoor's acting and Salman's fan base Yuvvraaj should have a good opening at the box office.

It is believed that Salman Khan has never been under so much pressure ever in his career to deliver a hit. Once regarded among the top three actors in the industry he is become the weakest link among the Khan trio. Its is do or die situation for Salman and we hope the hunk comes out of this with flying colours.
