Though actress Priyanka Chopra has had a number of releases this year but her stars, haven't exactly shone that bright at the box office. Here's a look at the fomer Miss World's poor run this year.

Actress Priyanka Chopra may have had the maximum number of releases this year but box office success seems to be well eluding her this year. Right from the science-fiction futuristic 'Love Story 2050' to her last release 'Drona', all sank without a trace but the actor is not complaining.

As Priyanka states, "I like doing films, which are different, that is why I picked up 'Love Story 2050'. It was something, which was never before done in India. I agree, it didn't do well - maybe India wasn't ready for it or maybe it was our mistake. But we tried really hard and our conviction was correct. My conviction in 'Drona' was exactly the same to play an action character like that."

In fact, Priyanka has even has her own mantra about the number game in Bollywood. Priyanka confidently claims, " Acting is gambling, the film business is gambling. If you don't step into the unconventional mode, you'll become complacent doing the same old things, and the critics would get ample scope to point their fingers at you. It's so much more exciting in trying to do something different - maybe it'll hit the bull's eye or it won't - that's a chance, you have to really take."

Perhaps Priyanka's optimism stems from the two big films lined up for release in the upcoming months - Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Fashion' and Karan Johar's 'Dostana'.

"For both 'Fashion' and 'Dostana', I had to really work hard on my body, as both films required a certain look. In 'Fashion', I play a model and in 'Dostana', I play a character who lives in Miami and everyone in Miami looks great. So, I was really training hard for that," the actress mentioned.

Priyanka Chopra for one, will surely have her fingers crossed to see if she can rule the roost at the fickle box office, with her two upcoming releases 'Fashion' and 'Dostana'.
