Midnight masala

Bangalore:
When it comes to keeping a secret, Kannada film directors have much to learn from their Tamil film industry counterparts.

Ace directors like Mani Ratnam and Shankar are always tight-lipped when it comes to their projects. But in Sandalwood, nothing stays under wraps for long. The hush-hush music recording of the mega budget film, Cheluveye Ninna Nodalu, wasn't so secret after all as our exclusive pictures reveal.

I spy...

The HiTLiST team saw director G Raghu, producer Suresh Babu and lead actor Shivrajkumar rush into the studio a little before midnight. The recording went on till 3 am on Thursday morning. Actor Ravichandran, choreographer Ismail Sardaria and Darshan were also seen making their way into the studio where music director V Harikrishna was busy at work.

Refuting allegations of resorting to cloak-and-dagger theatrics, Raghu said, "We have nothing to hide. It was Shivrajkumar's idea to meet at the studio without informing the press. I don't want to say anything more."

Another record

Cheluveye Ninna Nodalu will not be the most expensive Kannada film to be made so far, it will also be the first Kannada film to be shot at the new Seven Wonders of the World.
