The Narcotics cell of the Mumbai Police busted a rave party on Sunday night. The party was held in an up market pub, 72 degrees east, in Juhu lots of youngsters from affluent families were allegedly present there.

Mumbai Police detained 231 youngsters, eight drug peddlers and the party organiser from the pub and over Rs 1.5 lakh was also recovered from the place.

The youngsters were sent for a medical test on early Monday morning and the results are awaited.

The police seem to have netted Bollywood star kids in the bust, who insist that their children were there for just a regular party.

“My daughter had just gone for a birthday party,” says actor Aditya Pancholi.

Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor’s son Siddhant, was reportedly the DJ at this rave party.

“He has got a clean chit,” says Shakti Kapoor.

However, some of the parents allege that the police has taken a biased action and let off the children of influential people.

The pub is owned by Bollywood veteran Prakash Mehra but the management says that they were ignorant of the goings on as they had leased it to a company called ‘Food Federation’ who were unavailable for comment.

“We have nothing to do with the day to day functioning of the place. We were shocked to hear of this,” says the son of the club owner Puneet Mehra.

If tested positive, the accused youngsters could be prosecuted under the Nartcotic drugs and psychotropic substances act.
