TV actress Shalini Kapoor (Goddess Durga in Jai Maa Durga) has recently tied the knot with Rohit Sagar. The wedding took place on June 10 at Goregaon Sports Club.

The Kapoors and Sagars wanted the wedding to be at the end of this month. “Unfortunately though, there weren’t any auspicious days around month-end, so we had to do everything very quickly. We invited only a few close friends and relatives,” says the new bride.

Talking about Rohit, who also dabbles in theatre and advertisements, Shalini says, “I am so happy. It’s been more than two years since Rohit and I started dating.

We are now together forever.” The two met during the pilot shoot of B R Chopra’s TV show Aap Beati. Sparks flew, then they started going to the same gym, and the rest as they say is history.

“We are not going for a honeymoon immediately. Rohit has to resume his work very soon. Ditto for me,” she adds.
