Both boast of impeccable lineage Aamir Khan’s nephew Imran Khan and Harry Baweja’s son Harman Baweja Bollywood’s two new hotties have their films releasing on the same day and the competition is hotting up.
The two are ready with their first films Love story 2050 and Jaane Tu ya Jaane na and will have to battle it out for the top spot for debut makers of the year.
“I don’t see the competition because the films are very different. I wish Imraan all the luck for his film,” said Harman Baweja, actor.
It isn’t the first time that Bollywood battles began like this, rewind to the past and Amitabh Bachchan and Rajesh Khanna were in the same place when Amitabh’s angry young man image overwhelmed reigning superstar Rajesh Khanna.
Going down memory lane a bit further and rivalries can be traced back to Raj Kapoor versus Dev Anand versus Dilip Kumar.
More recently the arrival of the two Khans Aamir and Shah Rukh remains one of the most hotly contested grounds in the film industry as one Khan tries to best another.
But the Harman-Imran competition isn’t just between two young talents it also has a lot of money riding on this them this summer.
Industry sources say that it could be to the tune Rs 80 crore on Harman with Love Story 2050 and Rs 30 to 40 crores on Imran Khan with his uncle Aamir pushing hard to ensure his success.
