RAAZ forumla has worked again. A haunted past being put to rest due to sheer bond of love between two individuals, RAAZ was a success story wit Bipasha Basu fighting against all odds to get her husband (Dino Morea) back. Similar thread is what makes Vikram Bhatt's latest offering, '1920', a much accepted film amongst the masses with Rajneesh Duggal going all out to rescue the love of his life - Adah Sharma. He accomplishes the impossible by chanting 'Hanuman Chalisa' in an intense manner after a momentary period of being an atheist.
"This is the very angle which is being appreciated most by the masses", reveals Vikram Bhatt who has been making the rounds of single screens as well as the multiplexes of Mumbai all through the weekend, "The response has been the same all over. The moment Rajneesh begins chanting 'Hanuman Chalisa', there has been an applause all over."
Any particular manner in which the masses are reacting to the immensely passionate sequence where evil is trying to win over the good?
"While in multiplexes, I have seen this trend at the beginning and the end of the 'Hanuman Chalisa' (with Adah being finally out of the spirit's clutches), at single screens some patrons are even seen reciting the 'Hanuman Chalisa' along with Rajneesh. Response of this kind is truly surreal", says Bhatt who has tasted success after six years ever since the release of AWARA PAAGAL DEEWANA.
Smiles Vikram, "It was a long phase when my films were not working. Thankfully, a good opening has ensured that 1920 would comfortably sail through. Now it has to be seen what kind of distance the film eventually covers."
