Sanjay Dutt is ready to start his first production under his banner, Sanjay Dutt Productions. The film which is based on sports will be directed by Soham Shah who parted ways with Karan Johar after directing Kaal for Dharma Productions. Interestingly, Sanjay will not be acting in Soham’s film.

Apparently, Sanjay is quite impressed with Soham’s talent and commitment as a director. Sanjay and Soham met recently after which Sanjay decided that Soham is the right choice to make his film, which is based on sports.

Dharam Oberoi (CEO, Sanjay Dutt Productions) confirmed the news and said, “Yes, Sanjay Dutt Productions is making a sports film but the film is not based on one sport. It is about several adventure sports.”

Commenting on why Sanju chose Soham, Dharam said, “Soham’s work is impressive. We have seen some portions of his upcoming film Luck and we feel that he is quite competent.”

Sanjay has also signed Milan Luthria for another film under his home production. Milan will direct an action film for Sanju. But, the cast for Soham as well as Milan’s films is yet to be finalised.

Dharam added that Sanjay has left for South Africa, last evening. “Sanju Sir has gone to South Africa to scout locations for Soham’s and Milan’s film,” said Dharam.

When contacted, Soham said, “We will begin shooting by end of this year. I am very happy and excited about it. I am looking forward to directing a film for Sanju Sir.”
