Watch Ranbir, Deepika romance on the beach

If you thought a cinema hall is the only place you can enjoy a film on the big screen, the ongoing film festival at Goa would prove you wrong.

Hundreds of people gathered together by the sea-side on a starry night not to watch the waves rolling, but to watch Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone starrer Bachna Ae Haseeno on the big screen. And the audience seemed to enjoy themselves, many of them thought that its exciting beacuse it is very different from watching a movie in a closed theatre.

The Goans can enjoy films like Taare Zameen Par and many more under the sky over the next few days.

So, the next time you're in Goa during the festival and plan to give cinema halls a break, you know where to head to, not to theatre near you but to a beach near you.

Mani Ratnam's Guru was a career defining film for Abhishek Bachchan. Though his first hit was Dhoom, it was Guru which brought him universal accolades as an accomplished actor and was also his first solo hit. It was for his character in Guru that Abhishek had to put on a lot of weight and then he had to keep some of it for Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar Raj, where he had to look slightly heavier set. But that was the past and now Abhishek is looking trim and fit. People seeing Abhishek on the sets of Mani Ratnam's Raavan were pleasantly surprised to him back in shipshape.

Abhishek says jokingly that while everyone was working on a six–pack ab, he was working on one pack! On a serious note, he adds that he has worked hard to get back in shape as it was really very difficult to shed 14 kgs., which he had acquired during the shooting of Guru and had to stick to till Sarkar Raj. And is very happy to be back to his original weight from Bunty Aur Babli days.

Well, that is certainly good news for the fans of Abhishek Bachchan, and for that they have to thank John Abraham and his trainer who were instrumental in inspiring Abhishek to follow the fitness program devised to get the Dostana hot bod for John. Here's a cheer to their friendship!

The sister and brother-in-law of Bollywood actor Ashish Choudhary are among the victims of the terror attacks in Mumbai.

Mumbai’s 59-hour terror siege ended on Saturday morning, leaving behind a death toll of close to 150 people. Among the dead are several innocent people that were held hostage by terrorists at the city’s two major hotels.

Ashish’s sister Monica and brother-in-law had gone to The Oberoi Trident on Wednesday night for a dinner at Tiffin with some friends. Ever since the news of the terror attacks came, Ashish, along with his friends and family, had been keeping vigil outside the hotel, hoping for his sister and her husband to walk out alive.

With her debut release Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi only two weeks away, we thought it would be best if we told you a little more about Anushka Sharma – Shah Rukh Khan’s hot new girl.

As you all know, she is a model from Bangalore but were you aware of the fact that she too has a father in the army, just like many other Bollywood actresses. Mr. Sharma is a high ranking officer with the Indian Army and Mrs. Sharma is a housewife. Now back to Anushka. Well, as expected she spent most of her childhood shifted from pillar to post because of her father’s work. Anushka then completed her higher studies in Bangalore, at the Mount Carmel College. At college, Anushka was renowned for her athleticism, and that is how she got her super figure – it was all because of her being an all-rounder in sports.

Unlike many other parents, Anushka’s mother and father supported her when she decided to go into the modelling profession as a career. Papa and Mama Sharma had no objections to it. Anushka joined a Bangalore based modelling agency and was groomed in style and image by consultant Prasad Bidapa. Bidapa first saw Anushka when she was just a mere teenager and was immediately taken in by her innocent charm and personified beauty. He immediately termed her as being a superstar one day in the future. He recalls, “At the age of thirteen she used to walk the ramp like a seasoned model.”

Her cool and confident attitude is what got her signed up by Aditya Chopra, head of Yash Raj Films, for his third directorial Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. Aditya came across Anushka’s portfolio after it was left on his desk by a member of his team. Soon after seeing the pictures of this gleaming beauty, Aditya decided that she would indeed enact the role of Taani opposite seasoned veteran, and a much older, Shah Rukh Khan.

And that is the story so far of Anushka Sharma. The next chapter in her life will unfold in front of your eyes on 12th December 2008, when Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi releases worldwide.
